Bisons’ bats exploded

Chris Colabello homered twice and Kevin Nolan also hit one out as 11 Buffalo batters collected hits in the Bisons’ 13-10 spring training win over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in Tampa, Fla. on Sunday.

Colabello, the 2013 International League MVP, hit 16 home runs last season between the Minnesota Twins and Rochester Red Wings. Jonathan Berti went 3-5 with a double and an RBI as the Bisons had 19 hits, eight for extra bases.

The Bisons are 2-3 so far in the spring and will face the RailRiders again on Monday.

The Bisons will hold their annual National Anthem auditions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Coca-Cola Field. Singers should enter the park at the Pettibone’s Grille entrance. All singers will be asked to perform the Star Spangled Banner and O Canada a cappella in front of the home dugout. Tryouts are open to the public with no pre-scheduled audition times.
