Career stats: 39 games, 1,052 of 1,579 (66.6 completion percentage), 11,991 yards, 86 TDs, 30 INTs.

Draft projection: Fifth-sixth round.

Lowdown: The American Athletic Conference Player of the Year led the NCAA in attempts in 2014, with 617. Carden completed 392 for 4,736 yards and 30 touchdowns. He was a semifinalist for both the Davey O’Brien and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose awards, and leaves the Pirates as their all-time leader in completions, attempts, touchdowns, passing yards and total offense (12,244 yards). … Worked out of shotgun, spread offense that didn’t ask him to make many throws down the field. … Has below-average arm strength and a tendency to put too much air underneath the ball.
