Magierski will run for Cheektowaga Town supervisor

Now that Mary Holtz says that she will retire and not seek re-election as Cheektowaga Town supervisor, Town Clerk Alice Magierski says she wants the job.

Magierski said Saturday she intends to seek the Cheektowaga Town Democratic Committee endorsement.

“I strongly believe that my experience as a town council member and my years as Town Clerk/Tax Receiver have provided me with the knowledge, expertise and insight to meet the many challenges of Town Supervisor," Magierski said in a statement. “ I have demonstrated my ability to successfully, professionally and responsibly run and oversee the offices of the Town Clerk, Tax and Records Management. As a council member I was successful in having enacted the town demolition law and the creation of the Cheektowaga Alliance for Healthy Youth and Communities.”
