Buffalo police arrested five men in a Bailey Avenue apartment house about 1 a.m. Saturday after a fracas outside the building.
An officer on patrol saw a group of men drinking and fighting outside 3219 Bailey Ave. One of the men, yelling obscenities, threw a liquor bottle that struck a passing vehicle, causing it to swerve, nearly colliding with a police car. The men ran inside the apartment house, and moments later a handgun was thrown out of a side window of the building, police said.
Officers entered and arrested the five, and also seized seven bags of marijuana. Charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of marijuana, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct were the residents of the apartment, Jamar L. Mills, 20; Wesley D. Early, 20, of Rounds Avenue; Ramere P. McIlwain, 17, of Phyllis Avenue; Tyler Pilon, 18, of Newburgh Avenue; and Raekwon R. Jabbar, 18, of Harlem Road, West Seneca.
