SPERO - A. June Of Oakland, CA, formerly of Buffalo, NY, February 26, 2015. Loving wife of the late Robert Spero and the late Al Rosenfeld; mother of David (Aisha), Jonathan (Jessie) and Daniel (Sharon); grandmother of Orion, Rose, Heidi, Mathias and Sekani Spero; great-grandmother of Anaya; caring aunt of Ronald (Joan) Schwartz, Donna (late Ron) Browning and Ira (Cheryl) Schwartz; aunt of Elissa (Jason) and Andrew Fesyk; also survived by many cousins and devoted friends. She was a graduate of Amherst High School, Millard Fillmore Nursing School, with a Bachelor's and Master's in Psychology from SUNY Buffalo. She was a decorated veteran of WWII, a nurse, psychologist, SUNY professor, vocational rehabilitation counselor, founder/director of Project Eve, a ground-breaking women's employment and life training program. June never stopped reading, learning, growing, giving and enjoying life. She took yoga at Oakland Senior Center until the day before she died. A Celebration of June's Life will be held in Oakland on March 25.
