It’s Easter season at the Broadway Market

The Easter season officially kicked off at the Broadway Market Friday with Polish dancers, deputies on horseback and a cadre of political leaders who joined the Most Rev. Richard Joseph Malone of the Diocese of Buffalo in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“It’s fun at the Broadway Market during the Easter season,” said Mayor Byron W. Brown, who was joined by U.S. Rep. Brian M. Higgins, Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz and Fillmore District Councilman David A Franczyk in encouraging people to make the market part of their spring holiday tradition.

The Easter Bunny was scheduled to arrive at the market 10 a.m. Saturday, and be at the market daily through Easter.
