The business development office of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus will host a free public event Saturday to educate and link entrepreneurs of all stripes to the various business development resources in the region.
The event, organized by Ignite, will include 20 organizations and run from noon to 5 p.m. in dig, the co-working space at 640 Ellicott St., on the medical campus. Attendees will learn about organizations that can guide them at different stages of business – from developing business ideas and business plans to securing funding and tax incentives to building networks. Startups, entrepreneurs and community members with interest in learning about business resources are encouraged to attend.
Ignite’s goal is to create a central resource for small business owners to aid in their design and growth.
In addition to Ignite, other participating organizations include Buffalo Angels, Buffalo State College Small Business Development Center, 43North, Jacobs Institute, StartUp NY, University at Buffalo’s Center for Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, Westminster Economic Development Initiative, Western New York Venture Association and Z80 Labs.
