Niagara Falls man arrested in unemployment insurance fraud

NIAGARA FALLS – The arrest of a 43-year-old Niagara Falls man on unemployment insurance fraud was reported Thursday by the State Police.

Following an investigation by State Police and the State Department of Labor Erin D. Parmer was charged Tuesday with grand larceny in the third-degree, offering a false instrument for filing and falsifying business records. State Police officials said Parmer has been charged with illegally collecting about $3,900 in unemployment benefits while working at a Cheektowaga jewelry store from last Aug. 17 to last Nov. 9. He was issued appearance tickets for Lockport City Court proceedings April 8.
