March 18, 1965: Russian is first man to 'walk' in space

Fifty years ago, the United States and Russia were neck and neck in the race to land a man on the moon -- but on this date, the news seemingly put the Russians ahead. Even so, according to a story lower on the page, NASA wasn't worried.
