NIAGARA FALLS –An unidentified 19-year-old bicyclist struck by an SUV at 12:33 p.m. Wednesday as he tried to ride his bicycle through the intersection of Pine Avenue and Hyde Park Boulevard.
The ‘cyclist had the right–of–way when he attempted to cross Hyde Park Boulevard, according to Niagara Falls Police Traffic Capt. Angela Munn. The bicyclist was hit and then dragged a few feet by a A 2008 Ford Suburban being driven by an unidentified 62–year–old Youngstown man, police said. The driver has not been charged.
The injured bicyclist was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center with hip and leg pain on his left side.
