Police make arrests for marijuana and gun

Two men were arrested near the intersection of Madison and Peckham streets Monday afternoon.

Dwight Primm, 29, of Johnson Street, was arrested after police saw a plastic bag of marijuana hanging out of his coat pocket as he walked in the street. Primm, who was found to be the subject of two City Court arrest warrants in earlier cases, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Marcus Bell, 28, of Dupont Street, who had been near Primm began to run away but was quickly captured and found to have a defaced silver revolver with black electrical tape on its handle. Bell was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree and obstructing governmental administration.
