Front page March 17, 1915: House blown up because, police say, owner wouldn't sell

Among the local stories on the day's front page:

"Blow up house of woman who wouldn't sell"

"A bomb explosion wrecked a frame cottage at 461 Front avenue and damaged two adjoining houses at 8:30 o'clock last night. The loss is estimated at $5,000. The house, which is owned by Mrs. Jane Flynn, who lives at 463 Front avenue, the police say, was blown up because Mrs. Flynn had refused to sell her property."
