Suspected drunk driver followed by concerned motorist

SANBORN -- A suspected drunken driver was followed by a concerned motorist early Saturday, who kept police dispatchers informed of the suspect’s whereabouts.

Sheriff’s deputies finally caught up to Martin K. Hall Jr., 36, after he pulled into the driveway of his Upper Mountain Road home shortly after midnight. He failed field sobriety tests and later registered a 0.17 reading on a Breathalyzer test, prompting his arrest for driving while intoxicated.

Deputies said they had received complaints of a reckless driver from two separate motorists, one of whom followed Hall and stayed at the scene until police arrived.
