Another 10th Street Gang member gets prison term

David Dynes, 33, a member of the notorious 10th Street Gang, was sentenced to seven years in prison Friday by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Dynes was recently convicted on conspiracy charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) for his role in the gang’s years of drug and firearm violence on the city’s West Side.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph M. Tripi said Deynes was involved in the now-defunct gang between 2000 and 2010. He is one of 44 members of the gang or gang associates prosecuted so far.
