SUNY Buffalo State’s Communication Department presented its professional achievements awards to the following: Excellence in Public Relations, Jonathan Gill, vice president for marketing communication at Marketing Technologies of Western New York and Jeff Ventura, assistant director of athletics and sports information director of the college; and Excellence in Journalism, Rose Ciotta, WIVB News 4 investigative producer and adjunct professor of journalism at Buffalo State, and Mary Pasciak, a Buffalo News education reporter and investigative journalist.
Phillips Lytle partner William D. Christ was named chairman of the Niagara USA Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Christ has served on the Chamber’s board since 2004.
The certified public accounting/business consulting firm of Tronconi Segarra & Associates promoted Andrew J. Ziolo to supervising senior accountant and Nicholas C. Tirone to senior accountant. Ziolo, a CPA, graduated from Canisius College in 2009. Tirone, a graduate of the University at Buffalo, earned his master’s degree from SUNY Buffalo State. He is a CPA.
GPI/Greenman-Pedersen named Paul C. Case a senior civil engineer and project manager for its Western New York operations. Case is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and SUNY Alfred’s College of Technology. He will be a lead designer in the Buffalo Office’s Land Development Group.
