Wide-ranging sentence ordered for Lockport drunken driver

LOCKPORT – A man who drove drunk in the Town of Lockport Sept. 6 was given a variety of penalties Wednesday by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr.

Keith R. Blackwell, 38, of Corinthia Street, Lockport, received a one-year conditional discharge, but he has until Sept. 30 to pay $1,445 in fines and fees and serve 10 days in the Niagara County work program. His driver’s license was suspended for six months and he must install an ignition interlock device in his vehicle.

Blackwell, whose blood alcohol content was measured at .14 percent, had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.
