Too many TV commercials are discouraging to seniors
I live in an assisted living facility and during one of our discussions the residents expressed disgust about the number of commercials shown during TV shows. As seniors, we spend a lot of time watching television but are so tired of sitting through commercials (most of us use the mute button during commercials, anyway) we have decided to avoid watching TV altogether. We understand that a certain number of commercials are necessary in order to support programming, but enough is enough! How much money do the networks need? Is there something that can be done about this?
