Residents upset over shootings of young people at the Kenfield-Langfield public housing project are holding a meeting for 6 p.m. Thursday to discuss how to make conditions safer for their children.
“I can’t let my two children go outside and I’m scared for them,” said Sharon Graham Hunter, who has lived at Kenfield-Langfield for several years. “In the past two years, it’s been like, oh my God, what’s going on.”
On Friday afternoon, a 15-year-old was shot in the head on Edison Avenue and last summer, a 14-year-old was fatally shot while three of his friends suffered gunshot wounds.
The meeting will be held in the Martha Mitchell Center, 175 Oakmont Ave.
