The 10th annual Gowns 4 Prom program to help all high school girls get the dress of their dreams is currently underway.
The program, sponsored by Colvin Cleaners, matches donated prom dresses with girls from dozens of area high schools who might not be able to afford a gown. Paul Billoni, owner of Colvin Cleaners, said that in the past 10 years, more than 18,000 gowns were donated and more than 7,200 girls received dresses.
People can donate gowns at Goodwill WNY retail stores, Ted’s Hot Dog locations, BAC for Women facilities, Boulevard Mall, TT New York, Shea’s Performing Arts Centre and Colvin Cleaners.
Colvin’s cleans all the dresses before they are taken to Shea’s and arranged on the stage for young women to selerct their dresses.
