Justin Moss made first-team all-conference, Shannon Evans made second team, and Lamonte Bearden made the all-freshman team, the Mid-American Conference announced Monday.
Those were the three University at Buffalo honorees in awards handed out by the MAC. The conference will reveal it's other top awards - player, coach and freshman of the year - over the next two days.
Moss, a junior, led the MAC in scoring and rebounding. He averaged 18.4 points and 8.4 rebounds a game. He was one of 16 finalists for the national Karl Malone Award, given to the top power forward in the country. It's the fourth year in a row UB has put a player on the MAC first team.
Evans, a sophomore, is averaging 15.3 points and 4.7 assists a game.
Bearden has started 28 of 30 games as a freshman and averaged 8.1 points and 4.3 assists a game. He leads the MAC in assist-to-turnover ratio.
