Since late February, the Buffalo school district has been holding public forums seeking parent and community input into a proposed condom availability program that would available at all of the city's public high schools. This issue was first discussed by the School Board back in September. Here's the link to our story on that, which lays out the district's reasoning for wanting to bring the program to Buffalo.
The next and last community meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. this Thursday, March 12 at Merriweather Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave.
The forum will include a review of the district's health risk survey and general student health information, an overview of the condom availability program progress and the solicitation of feedback from forum participants.
