CAMBRIA – A Lockport woman escaped injury Thursday evening when her car caught fire while she was driving on Ridge Road, sheriff’s deputies said.

The 19-year-old woman told police she was driving home around 6 p.m. when she heard a squeaking noise coming from the area of her front tires. When she noticed smoke, she pulled the car over and discovered a small fire in the wheel well of her 2003 Chevrolet. A crew from the Cambria Volunteer Fire Company doused the fire.
