City of Tonawanda
Food trucks are welcome back in the city and its parks following unanimous approval of a resolution last week by the Common Council.
The rolling restaurants can dish out their servings in Niawanda Park, Veterans Park and the Tonawandas Gateway Harbor Park after paying an application fee of $200.
“I think it’s a welcoming sight and it’ll encourage people to visit the City of Tonawanda,” Fourth Ward Council Member Jenna N. Koch said.
A similar provision allowing food trucks was in effect last year but expired at the end of 2014. The amended ordinance has no expiration date.
• A meeting of the Tonawanda School Board begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the high school library.
