It’s little surprise he took a seven-game point streak into the weekend. It’s a bigger shock when he doesn’t find the score sheet. Mr. Consistency has had a goal or assist in 43 of his 59 games this season.


The Worldwide Leader in Sports is finally buying what the NHL is selling. The network successfully bid to host the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The tournament deserves prime airtime and will get it.

The Sabres’ Week Ahead

Wednesday – At Toronto Maple Leafs: Normally, it could cost a car payment to see a game in Toronto. With the exchange rate and terrible hockey, the secondary market has cheap seats.

Saturday – New York Rangers: While there’s always the old adage of “on any given night,” this is a mismatch. The Sabres could play New York 82 times, and I bet they’d lose 78 of them.
