Johnson's debut with Sabres on hold because of injury; Makarov recalled

OTTAWA -- Chad Johnson's debut with the Sabres is on hold.

The goaltender, acquired Monday from the New York Islanders, suffered a lower-body injury Friday and is doubtful for the game against Ottawa. Johnson was scheduled to start against the Senators in Canadian Tire Centre. He participated in the morning skate.

Anders Lindback is likely to inherit the crease. The Sabres have called up Andrey Makarov from Rochester to complete the roster.

Makarov is on his third NHL callup. He has played 33 games for the Amerks this season, going 14-14-3 with a .899 save percentage and 3.04 goals-against average.
