Two men charged with felony cocaine possession in a drunken driving stop

WHEATFIELD – Two Niagara Falls men face felony cocaine possession charges after a drunken driving stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard at Ward Road this past weekend.

According to a report released by State Police on Wednesday a Dodge Ram being driven by Gabriel Felts, 31, was unable to stay in its lane and Felts appeared to be intoxicated. The passenger in the vehicle, Frank O. Rowles, 54, was found to be wanted on a warrant by Niagara Falls Police.

During the arrest, two bags of approximately 4.9 grams of cocaine were found in Felts’ pocket and another plastic bag with approximately 7.0 grams of cocaine was located in the vehicle.

Felts was charged with two counts of felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic violations. He was arraigned and held in Niagara County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Rowles was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and was taken to jail on the warrant.
