LOCKPORT – A traffic infraction Friday in Wheatfield ended with State Police arresting two Niagara Falls men for drugs, with the driver also charged with drunk driving.
The pickup truck driven by Gabriel B. Felts, 31, was pulled over after troopers reported observing him unable to stay in lanes property on both Niagara Falls Boulevard and Ward Road in Wheatfield. Felts and his passenger, Frank O. Rowles, 54, were taken into custody after troopers reported finding two plastic bags of cocaine in Felts’ pocket and another bag of cocaine in the vehicle.
Felts was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and vehicle and traffic infractions. Rowles, found to be the subject of a Niagara Falls Police arrest warrant, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both face Wheatfield Town Court proceedings.
