Three cheers for students who overcame bad weather
I would like to tip my hat to the hundreds of Buffalo Public High School students who have made their way to school throughout the frigid weather. These students do not have the benefit of yellow bus transportation that most suburban students receive. These students often have to rise early and take several Metro buses to arrive at their destination. They repeat the process for their trip home.
Bus stops have been covered in ice mounds that are challenging, to say the least. Sidewalks that have not been cleared force these students to walk in the street. Travel has been a challenge, but they still came to school. So come on, Buffalo, let’s do something different and give these kids the credit they deserve. Way to go, Buffalo Public High School students.
