DiLAURA, Elizabeth Ann

DiLAURA - Elizabeth Ann Of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away on February 28, 2015. She was 88 years old. She was graduated from St. Mary's Seminary in Buffalo and Cornell University, where she received a Bachelors Degree and a Masters in Nutritional Science. She enjoyed 58 happy years with her husband, Dr. Arnold E. DiLaura, who died in 2010. She is survived by her son, Arnold E. DiLaura, Jr., daughter-in-law Jennifer, loving grandchildren Kelsey, Jed and Ariana, and beloved nieces and nephews. She worked as a public health nutritionist for both the New York State and the Erie County Health Departments. She subsequently worked as a nutritionist consultant at the Children's Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo. She is a past officer of both the New York State and the Western New York Dietetic Associations and a past member of the Community Welfare Council. She also served on the board of the Allen F. Pierce Foundation. In 1989, she and her husband retired to the Plantation Gold and Country Club in Venice, FL. In 2009, they moved to The Glenridge in Sarasota, FL, where she was an avid golf and bridge player. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, March 6 at St. Thomas More Church, 2506 Gulf Gate Dr., Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Nathan A. Bullock Trust, 6009 Oak Landing Drive, Chester, VA 23831. This trust is for the future support of her great-nephew Nathan who is totally blind and severely hearing impaired.
