Driver found crashed into a snow bank is accused of hit and run

LOCKPORT – A Lockport man is accused of driving under the influence of drugs after he sideswiped a vehicle as he tried to pass it while on Fernwood Drive in the Woodlands Mobile Home Park late last week.

State Police located the driver, John N. Franjoine, 28, of Sanborn, shortly after as he crashed into a snow bank in the mobile park. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, failure to keep right, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and having an uninspected motor vehicle.

The other driver, Sherry A. Sanney, 34, of Lockport said Franjoine’s black pickup drove up behind her Friday and tried to pass her on the driver’s side. The pickup struck her vehicle causing damage to the rear driver side quarter panel, according to a report released by State Police on Tuesday.
