Niagara's Reid, Canisius' Lewis, Robertson among MAAC all-star honorees

Niagara forward Dominique Reid and Canisius guard Kassius Robinson made the all-rookie teams for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, announced Monday.

Canisius and Niagara were shut out from first-team all-conference selections for both men and women.

However, the second-team All-MAAC women's squad included Canisius' Kayla Hoohuli and both Meghan McGuiness and Victoria Rampado of Niagara. Hoohuli, a senior guard, averaged 13.1 points a game. McGuiness, a senior guard, averaged 12.6. Rampado, a sophomore forward from Niagara Falls, Ont., averaged 12.9.

Sophomore guard Zach Lewis of Canisius made the all-MAAC men's third team. He averaged 12.9 points a game.

Reid, a 6-foot-8 redshirt freshman from New Jersey, averaged 9.3 points and 5.8 rebounds this season. In conference, he averaged 11.4 points and 6.8 rebounds. Robertson, a red-shirt freshman guard from Toronto, averaged 6.0 points a game.

The first-team All-MAAC MEN:

The first-team All-MAAC WOMEN:

Joy Adams, Iona. Damike Martinez, Iona. Madeline Blais, Marist. Tori Jarosz, Marist. Samantha Guastella, Quinnipiac.
