March 2, 1925: Bootleggers suspected as Customs agent 'blown to bits'

Bootleggers and smugglers around Niagara Falls were being rounded up after a federal customs agent was killed by a bomb attached to the starter of his Moon sedan.

"[Orville] Preuster, 50 years old, was blown to bits by a bomb when he pressed the starting mechanism of his automobile which stood next (to) his home, 2115 Tenth street, Niagara Falls, Sunday afternoon."
