Man charged with drunken driving following crash in Wheatfield

WHEATFIELD – A North Tonawanda man was charged with drunken driving after he turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle in the 3200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard on Sunday, according to investigators.

Paul G. Jasulevich, 55, of Nash Road was charged by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies at 8:22 p.m. Sunday with driving while intoxicated, failure to yield the right of way on a left turn and refusal to take a breath test.

Jasulevich appeared to be intoxicated when he was questioned by deputies and said he had four to five beers at a gun raffle at the Tonawanda Sportsman Club, deputies said. He told deputies he had been on his way to meet a friend for drinks at a Wheatfield bar.
