The American Red Cross hosts a blood drive Saturday at the Marilla Community Center, 1810 Two Rod Road, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Donation of a pint of blood generally takes about one hour.
Double red cells, in which red cells are collected but most of the plasma and platelets are returned to the donor can also be given. Double red cell donors must be type A negative, type B negative or type O.
• The Elma Public Library, 1860 Bowen Road, hosts “Make Your Own Luck” for children in kindergarten through third grade from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Pre-registration is required in person or by calling 652-2719.
• The Iroquois School Board conducts a budget work session at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Intermediate/Middle School cafetorium, 2111 Girdle Road, Elma.
