Springville woman charged with leaving dog out in subzero temperatures

A Springville woman charged by State Police Thursday is accused of leaving her husky/beagle out in subzero temperatures on Feb. 17 before the SPCA Serving Erie County took stepped in and took custody of the dog.

Maryann D. Gray, 62, was charged under Agriculture and Markets Law with failing to supply an appropriate shelter for dogs. Troopers were tipped off after a caller told them the dog had been barking for two hours outside the Trevitt Road property. Gray was ordered to appear in Concord Town Court on March 16.
