Several drug-related arrests were made this week in Gowanda and Salamanca by members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
Thursday afternoon, James R. Faulkner, 39, of Rochester, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant during a traffic stop on Commercial Street in Gowanda, police said.
Faulkner was charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Police said he was found in possession of crack cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.
Following arraignment in Persia Town Court, Faulkner was sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
Thursday night, officers executed a search warrant at 46 Academy St. in Salamanca. Nicole M. French, 29, and Darby M. Monahan, 38, who lived there, were taken into custody, along with Cara L. Skye, 27, of Division Street.
All three were in possession of several bags of heroin, authorities said, and each was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
French was charged with four additional drug possession- and sale-related counts stemming from two separate incidents last October during which she allegedly sold crack cocaine to someone in Salamanca.
All three defendants were placed in the Salamanca police lockup, pending arraignment. More charges are pending, police said.
