Despite injury to Ryan Miller, Canucks not lacking in quality goaltending

Ryan Miller has been performing as he usually does. Despite a middling save percentage (.913) and goals-against average (2.47), the goalie is winning in Vancouver. His 28 victories in 44 appearances rank seventh in the NHL.

He got hurt Sunday, leaving the crease to Eddie Lack. Pardon the pun, but the Canucks' goaltending has not been lacking with the backup.

Lack has stopped 67 of 68 shots since stepping in for Miller. He'll likely be in net against the Sabres on Thursday night in First Niagara Center.

“I always thought Eddie was good,” Canucks coach Willie Desjardins told reporters after Tuesday’s 2-1 win in Boston. “It’s good to see. You like to see a guy getting hot.”

The Canucks enter Buffalo with a 3-1 record so far on their five-game road trip. Videos of the last two games are below.
