LOCKPORT – Cynthia Lidge of Niagara Falls, who assaulted a 13-year-old girl after the latter filed a rape charge against a man Lidge knew, was placed on three years probation Wednesday by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon.

Lidge, 38, of Pine Avenue, pleaded guilty to third-degree assault in the July 3 incident, while Kimberly Kennedy, 39, of Eighth Street, the mother of the man accused of rape, admitted to third-degree intimidating a victim or witness and was sentenced to 1 1/2 to three years in prison on Feb. 4.

The rape case against Leonard L. Sistrunk Jr., 20, remains open. Lidge has a child by Sistrunk.
