Albany woman arrested for trying to sneak drugs into prison

WARSAW – The arrest of a 22-year-old Albany woman by State Police for allegedly trying to sneak synthetic marijuana into the Wyoming Correctional Facility in Attica was announced Wednesday.

Katelyn Zaron was arrested Feb. 16 and charged with promoting prison contraband in the second-degree and with violating the state sanitary code which is an offense under the State Public Health Law. The synthetic marijuana which she was accused have having “secreted inside here body” was allegedly for an inmate at the state prison here, officials said. She faces proceedings in Attica Town Court.
