LOCKPORT – A Lockport teenager was arrested for allegedly slamming a woman’s head into a wall Sunday in a dispute over a boy.
Shaylene M. Powless, 18, of 6500 Lincoln Place, was charged with second-degree harassment by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies. She later was turned over to Medina police on a warrant for intimidating a witness, a first-degree felony.
The 31-year-old female victim, who also lives in an apartment in the Lincoln Pace building, said Powless came to her door and accused her of “messing around with her boyfriend.” She said Powless then grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head against the wall. An ambulance was called due to the nature of the injury, according to deputies.
Powless was located at an address on Walnut Street and charged after she admitted punching the woman, police said.
