A man was charged with assaulting a woman in a University Heights home Sunday morning during a fight that also injured the woman’s son and a Buffalo police officer, Northeast District officers reported.
Police said Robert Perry, no age or address given, punched the woman multiple times in the face and choked her about 4:30 a.m. in the home on Lasalle Avenue. Grease was thrown about the kitchen causing an injury to an officer, according to a report. The report did not specify the nature of the officer’s injury.
The woman’s son tried to break up the fight and Perry allegedly punched him multiple times in the head and face, police said. The victim’s three young children witnessed the fight, police said.
Perry was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and endangering the welfare of a child.
