Area fire companies link up to help clear snow from Rapids fire hall roof

RAPIDS – Several fire companies responded to a plea for help from Rapids Volunteer Fire Company Sunday, bringing equipment to clear snow off the fire hall’s roof.

A news release from the fire company said there was too much snow on the roof, leading to several leaks within the building. According to Niagara County Fire Wire, the companies providing aid were Middleport, Hartland, Terrys Corners, Wendelville, South Lockport, Gasport, Wolcottsville and Clarence Center.
