BURNS - Marvin A. "Cotton'' February 9, 2015, age 92 of Granbury, Texas, formerly of Clarence, NY, beloved husband of Rose (nee Bonvissuto); loving father of Patricia (Jerome) Beris, Robert (Lyn) Burns, Allen (MaryJo) Burns and Bryan (Kathleen) Burns; grandfather of Eric (Robyn), Sean, Jacyln, Justin, Kelly and Ryan; great-grandfather of Emalani Rose; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Burns was the youngest of nine children. He was born in Dallas, Texas and at the age of seven was sent to Buchner Orphans Home (Dallas) where he remained through graduation from high school at the age of eighteen. Mr. Burns was a WW II Marine veteran and was a member of the Third Battalion of the First Paratroopers. He fought in Bougainville in the Solomon Islands and also went to Iwo Jima with the Fifth Division of the Marines. Mr. Burns was self-employed, owning Cotton's Mobile (Auto) Trim Shop for more than fifty years. He was an expert auto upholsterer and craftsman and loved working with his hands. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Private service held at a later date.
