LOCKPORT – Mayor Anne E. McCaffrey said at Wednesday’s Common Council meeting that city crews plan to haul snow away from Main Street this weekend.
The snow piles have made things tough on drivers, pedestrians and business owners. McCaffrey said the Streets Department had hoped to remove the mounds last weekend, but ended up plowing more newly fallen snow.
McCaffrey also acknowledged that potholes are cropping up on city streets, as they did last year. The mayor said that when the weather warms, the city intends to use the policy it tried in 2014, of milling the worst streets and repaving them.
