Cheektowaga man gets six month jail term for two cases

A 26-year-old Cheektowaga man was ordered Thursday to spend up to the next six months in jail by Cheektowaga Town Justice Paul S. Piotrowski for his 2012 drug arrest and for fighting with police trying to serve him with court warrants in 2013.

David A. Fox of Sandstone Road was also rebuked by the judge for failing to complete court-ordered Drug Court sessions. Fox was arrested on June 6, 2012 for criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. He was arrested again on March 14, 2013 and charged with resisting arrest for fighting with Cheektowaga police officers trying to serve him with court warrants in his drug case. Under his plea deal he has to serve at least four months in jail.
