Man robbed of wallet after trip to Falls convenience store

NIAGARA FALLS – A 51-year-old man was robbed by two men early Friday while walking home from a convenience store, where he had withdrawn $100 from an automated teller machine, police said.

The victim had walked to the 7-Eleven at 26th and Niagara streets shortly after 4 a.m., and was knocked down behind the store, where a handgun was pointed at his face while another man went through his pockets, police said.

The robbers fled south on 26th Street with the victim’s wallet, police added.
