Silver’s arrest is good news for state’s suffering citizens
Upon hearing of Sheldon Silver’s arrest on corruption charges, my first thought was: “Hooray, finally maybe there is actually justice in New York State.” Silver’s hold on the Assembly may have been good for those who kissed his ring, but for the rest of us, it has been never-ending pain.
I can only hope he is convicted and gets to spend the rest of his life in a cell next to Bernie Madoff. Maybe now the Democrats will choose a speaker who is more concerned with the people of the state. Let’s hope Albany’s corruption is finally coming to an end, and that we no longer have to move away to live in peace and prosper, and that our liberties and rights will be restored to we the people.
