More money won’t solve problems in city schools
A recent letter writer, of course a teacher, ranted on about a News columnist complaining about the absurd number of teachers rated “effective” or better with the new teacher ratings.
Ironically, she complained about ignorant people looking for a simplistic answer for a complex problem, when most teachers provide the exact same answer: more money!
Of course there are myriad problems with Buffalo’s public schools, with no easy or obvious solutions. But I am certain of one thing that will not make the significant change that is needed and that is more money.
