Two of the four men wanted in connection with the shooting of a man during a robbery Tuesday afternoon on Sweeney Street are in custody, Buffalo Police Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards said Friday.
Maurice Brown, 19, of May Street, and Sylvester K. Johnson, 24, of Haven Street, are both being held on first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and weapons charges for the incident at 32 Sweeney and the theft of about $244 and a cell phone, Richards said.
The victim, who was shot in both the right and left legs and pistol-whipped during the incident, is being treated at the Erie County Medical Center.
Richards said Brown and Johnson were arrested in the 700 block of Jefferson Avenue that about 4 p.m. Friday.
The revolver used in the shooting was found on Brown Street, Richards said.
