North Tonawanda woman placed on probation in assault case

LOCKPORT – State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. placed a North Tonawanda woman on five years’ probation Friday for hitting another woman with a brick during what police said was a robbery.

Katherine M. Cook, 40, of Wheatfield Street, said she was not using her mental health medication at the time of the incident, which occurred Sept. 29, 2013 in North Tonawanda.

Kloch told Cook, who pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, that she needs to get a job. He also ordered her to perform 100 hours of community service.
